The first start

The first time kyte opens, it asks a few things and then you are in. Every step says skip anytime, and it means it.

If you would rather look around before deciding anything, press Load demo data → on the welcome screen. That fills a complete example company — customers, projects, processes, goals, documents — so you can click through a workspace that already has something in it. You can start over later.

The steps

1. Language

English, German, French or Spanish. This is the app's own language: buttons, menus, headings.

It does not translate your data. What you type stays as you typed it.

2. Sign in with Pirol

Press Login with Pirol. Your browser opens, you confirm there, and the app continues on its own.

The account is what connects kyte to the AI endpoint that answers your agent's questions, and it is how a colleague later joins the same workspace. A shipped build offers this one way in — there is no separate kyte password to invent or forget.

3. Your team server — only if your account has one

If your Pirol account already names a team server for this workspace, a step appears that shows the address and checks whether this device can reach it. Nobody types an address or a fingerprint.

If your account names no server, this step does not exist and you go straight on. You are then working on your own machine, which is the normal case for a first install.

4. Your company

The company name is the only thing kyte genuinely needs — it names the workspace. A website is optional: it becomes the start page of the browser inside kyte.

Press Create company & sign in, and the workspace is yours.

What happens next

You land in the chat, with the apps on the left. Nothing in there is filled yet, which is normal: your first customer, project or document gets created by you or by the agent as you work.

A good next step is your first hour — it walks through the first things worth doing. If you want to understand the conversation itself first, read working with the agent.

Starting over

On the sign-in screen there is Reset / start over. It deletes the local data and returns to this wizard. It asks first, and it cannot be undone.
