What kyte remembers about you
While you work, the agent writes down things about you that are worth knowing next time: that you bill at net 30, that "the usual report" means the one grouped by project, that you prefer German in customer letters.
This is your private memory. Colleagues do not see it.
Reading and correcting it
Bottom left, your account → Profile. Every entry is listed, and every entry can be:
- edited — a fact learned slightly wrong is worse than none
- pinned — kept forever, never tidied away automatically
- forgotten — gone
You can also just say it: "Forget what you noted about invoicing", "Remember that Meyer always wants the summary in English".
Why it is worth keeping tidy
Memory is what stops you repeating yourself. It is also what makes an answer subtly wrong when it holds something that used to be true. Five minutes in the Profile once in a while is worth more than a longer prompt every day.
Skills
Beside the memory sits something related: your skills — short recipes the agent follows for you. "When I ask for the monthly report, take these steps in this order." Also private, also yours to edit.
What it does not remember
The content of your documents and records is not memory — that is data, and the agent reads it when it needs it. Memory is the small set of things about how you work that would otherwise have to be said again every morning.
